Good for you!! I find that so many people hunt for the rack (yes, I'm still talking about 4-legged hunting!). If you have a tag, fill it and get some meat in the freezer, it could very well be the only chance you get. Well done!!!

Got a huge doe last night on shotgun hunt. Had to get Mooselayer and another brother to help get it out. One slug behind the shoulder at 50 yds did the trick. Best thing about having my brothers to help out is that they brought beverages (I must have set a good example as the oldest brother).
 

Hey guys I got it done this morning!! I'm jacked right now wohoo lol, had a nice 4 point but technically 3 point buck come out and got the job done. Such a big body on him. It's been 8 years since I got an archery deer. But I've had success over the years with the gun. I'm ever so thankful. I got him at 8am. I ended up getting him in the liver right at 15 yards. Boy was it a hassle getting him out he ran right into the swamp and saw and heard him crash. Only made it 75 yards. 

Caught 0 fish during the derby, caught perch after the derby ended. Biggest would have been 2nd place. 

Did you cut the perch open and look for weights and fillets? LoL

Ya smerch. Pier fishing in myrtle beach. Lots of fun for the family and you never know what you’re going to catch. Puffers, sea trout, whiting , octopus, sharks, you name it.
they deflate almost immediately when released.

I’ve started stocking up on things I use everyday at work that eventually wear out or break. Prices will only go up they never come  back down. 

Yes you can Bill, but they won't have minnows, It is better to come early because of the early bite.
I was there yesterday  and netted some minnows near where they take the boats out of the marina.
I caught a few nice Perch there yesterday.

Hey guys I got it done this morning!! I'm jacked right now wohoo lol, had a nice 4 point but technically 3 point buck come out and got the job done. Such a big body on him. It's been 8 years since I got an archery deer. But I've had success over the years with the gun. I'm ever so thankful. I got him at 8am. I ended up getting him in the liver right at 15 yards. Boy was it a hassle getting him out he ran right into the swamp and saw and heard him crash. Only made it 75 yards.

We had a nice fish dinner (again) today .....same as yesterday  but with the fish on a bun with slaw & home made  tartar sauce .
 
But I haven't caught a fish in weeks !   So it was Capt.Highliner's breaded haddock again ...pretty good stuff !
I have been raking tons of leaves (non of which come from my trees , and I put them through my great muching machine 
This machine reduces 8 yard bags full of leaves to one bag . I have used this machine for over 20+ years .(They made stuff to last then)
I'll spread all of this fine leaf much over the grass & let it decay into the ground through the winter....good for the grass & worms , etc
Looks like a nice week ahead , above temps. and I hope to get some fishing time in .

Another season has come to an end at one of the best fishing spots that will probably gone soon.  Enjoy!  Had to keep the pike since the spoon was almost in his stomach... 
 
We used cured skein in hot pink, hooked fish all day every time we went using 30 lbs fluorocarbon leaders, that was me with two kids on the green bridge daily.
