This is a warning that heavy rain is imminent in these regions.

Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.

the remnants of Frances are heading northwards across eastern Tennessee this morning. The associated large rain shield has now reached the south shore of Lake Erie and will interact with a Nearly stationary front over western New York state and Lake Erie which provided the showery weather yesterday. Rain will spread Into the Niagara region this afternoon then move over regions adjacent to Lake Ontario later in the day. This is mainly in Response to tropical moisture enhancing rain near the stalled Front. As the core of post tropical Frances approaches northwestern Pennsylvania tonight..The rain will become quite heavy and persist through tonight into Thursday. Total rainfall amounts of 50 to 80 mm are likely in a swath through the warned regions to the national Capital region and the St Lawrence Valley. The rain will ease to a few showers before ending Thursday morning in Niagara and late in The day in extreme eastern Ontario.

Although the remnants of Frances will still maintain rather brisk Winds..They are not forecast to be severe. Winds should generally be out of the northeast at 30 km/h with some gusts to 50 or 60 km/h in A few locales especially near lakes Erie and Ontario.
